Okay, I confess that Christmas is my favorite
holiday, but Thanksgiving is a
very close runner up. I love how this
holiday has not been spoiled by commercialism.
There are no costumes, presents, new clothes or reasons to buy anything other than food. And, if you do it
right, you take a little bit of time to remember some of the things you have to be
thankful for. In Canada, the holiday is
celebrated in October while the United States
celebrates in November. I've celebrated both and find it very interesting that the same kinds of food are
served. Pass the mashed potates and dressing, please.
